While the subject does not directly point to a problem with AlarmWiz, there is a serious consideration concerning synchronization. By the way, I have replaced the CR2032 cell on the motherboard (last week), but the system time still goes all over the place, seemingly without rhyme or reason.
In my case, I use AlarmWiz as my main "get-up-it's-morning-fool!" alarm clock, set to play some extremely annoying music to get me up and going. The alarm is set to go at 0500 each day, and I have that alarm set to synchronize to time.nist.gov as well as jar me awake. Now take the way things are, and you see that there is a problem. If my computer doesn't "think" it is 0500, the alarm will not sound, and I will not get synchronized with the NIST time server.
I also have an independent time synchronization set (within AlarmWiz) for 0430 daily, again to time.nist.gov. However, again, if the computer doesn't "think" it is 0430, I will not get the time sync!
I'm going to try setting time synchronization to occur every fifteen minutes, in hopes of mitigating the problem. Does that seem to be a useful thing to try?
